Sam's Publishing has released the new Red Hat Fedora Core 6 Unleashed book by Hudson and Hudson. A review of it is now posted on UnixReview at http://www.unixreview.com/documents/s=10116/ur0701f/ur0701f.htm. Overall, this is another great version of a book that gets better with age. The price of the DVD alone easily justifies the price of the book, and I highly recommend it for anyone considering implementing Fedora Core.

What does Linux need to do in 2007
The usual yearly recap of what has happened, and look at what should happen next year, in order for Linux to go more mainstream is posted on CertCities at http://certcities.com/editorial/columns/story.asp?EditorialsID=212. Much of this was written (and submitted) before recent developments (like Microsoft's Ballmer claiming that there is a liability on the balance sheet of every company using Linux...). Given the nature of the article, it is a very safe assumption that it will be quickly blasted.

Cisco Network Admission Control
A review of the latest security book from Cisco Press, Cisco Network Admission Control Volume II: NAC Framework Deployment and Troubleshooting, is posted on UnixReview at: http://www.unixreview.com/documents/s=10116/ur0701h/ur0701h.htm. Even though this is really the second volume in the series, it is the only one worth buying and has so much more information in it than the first.
